Pas­sion for food and nut­ri­tion lead me early to stu­dy­ing eco­tro­pho­logy. I wan­ted to find out more about our gro­ce­ries. Lle­gis­la­tion, sen­sors, qua­lity, nut­ri­tio­nal value, tech­no­lo­gies, micro biology…the abundance of facets is gigan­ti­cant. To be able to apply the diver­sity of pro­ducts and pro­ces­ses in my work life I was drawn tochose qua­lity assurance as my pro­fes­sion strai­ght after uni­ver­sity. In 2017 I was able to enter Hamburger Feinfrost GmbH and deal exactly with the diverse duties I was hoping for. Working in bet­ween sup­pliers, cus­to­mers, public aut­ho­ri­ties, cer­ti­fiers, vete­ri­na­ri­ans, fur­thero­ther sta­ke­hol­ders and society in gene­ral is ever­ything but boring. The view over the for me most beau­ti­ful work place in the Han­sea­tic city directly at the fish mar­ket was anO ne of the unbea­t­a­ble argu­ment to take the job offer was clearly the view and atmo­s­phere at one of the most spec­ta­cu­lar work­pla­ces in Ham­burg, right on the river Elbe and next to the fish mar­ket. I can also see the Elbe river at my home at the dike in Kirch­wer­der, where people still speak “platt­deutsch”. Being deeply roo­ted in Ham­burg I ancho­red the gate­way to the world deep in my heart­feel very con­nec­ted to my place and line of work.
