Even when I was a child, I was con­nec­ted to the sea, since I used to tra­vel to the Bal­tic Sea with my par­ents. Cand con­se­quently I made an appren­ti­ce­ship to become a ship­ping mer­chant. After stu­dy­ing a few semes­ters busi­ness eco­no­mics and eco­no­mics edu­ca­tion I ent­e­red the fish indus­try already in 1984. Various posi­ti­ons, e.g. in mate­ri­als manage­ment, fish pro­cu­re­ment, depart­ment mana­ger and as ope­ra­ting mana­ger pro­vi­ded many valu­able insights for me to suc­cess­fully lead HAFRO over the last few years. Unlike many others wit­hin the indus­try fishing and coo­king are not among my hob­bies, but one thing unites me with many: „Once in fish – always in fish“ – which means: a lot of expe­ri­ence – lea­ding to– a lot of success!
